Making a Reservation - General Information

Hours of Operation

The Internet Reservation Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Call Centre is open from 07:00am to 09:00pm daily except Christmas and New Year’s Day. The five month reservation window starts at 07:00am EST each day.

The First Time You Make a Reservation

First time users must register to make a reservation on the Ontario Parks Internet Reservation System. You will be asked to complete a registration form to create your user profile. You will create your own unique log on and password. Each time you make a reservation, you will be prompted to enter your log on and password.

The information collected in your User Profile will be strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to outside parties.

Payment

Internet reservations can be paid using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. There is a non-refundable $9.00 (call centre) or $8.00 (internet) reservation fee for each booking. Please note that only site specific reservations are available and your credit card will be charged immediately for the total cost of your visit. Check to see if you qualify for an Ontario Senior or Ontario Persons with disabilities discount. You must bring proof of your eligibility when you arrive at the park.

Ontario Parks has taken every precaution to ensure the security of your credit card information.

Confirmation Details

When you complete an Internet campsite reservation, a confirmation information page will appear on-screen. This information page contains the details of your reservation and your booking number. The booking number is your reference for changing or cancelling your reservation and for confirming your reservation upon arrival at the park. You should print and save your confirmation information. To do so, select "Click Here for a Printable Confirmation Page". Please bring your confirmation information with you to the park.

A confirmation email will be sent for all internet reservations/changes/cancellations, and for many customers using the Call Centre.

Changing or Cancelling a Reservation

Reservations made on the Ontario Parks Reservation System may be cancelled or changed on the on-line reservation Web site or through the Call Centre. The applicable cancellation or change penalty (10-50%) will apply based on how long your reservation has been held or a minimum penalty of $7.00 (call centre) or $5.00 (internet) will be charged. The applicable penalty to shorten your stay (10-50%) will apply based on how long your reservation has been held. For administrative changes such as changes to name and campsite number, the $7.00 (call centre) or $5.00 (internet) fee will be applied. Reservations cannot be changed or cancelled more than four months in advance of your arrival.

Cancellations and changes to the arrival date must be made by 12:00 noon (EST) on the day of arrival. For cancellations or to shorten your stay a penalty (10-50%) will be charged based on how long your reservation has been held. For example, if your reservation has been held for 1 month or less, a penalty of 10% will apply, more than 1 month up to 2 months - 20%, more than 2 months up to 3 months - 30%, etc. to a maximum of 50%. Reservations cancelled or changed after this time will be charged the "no show" fee. A "no show" will result in the reservation being cancelled and a penalty of the first night's camping fee, plus the applicable percentage penalty (10-50%) for the other cancelled night (not including the $9.00 (call centre) or $8.00 (internet) non refundable reservation fee).
